"The pictures are super old and the rating is surprising. The staff was sweet and did offer an upgrade after I spent my first night sneezing and coughing all night since there was a very strong smell and had to keep the windows open but their dusty blankets gave me an allergic reaction. The staff is nice but the facilities were old and not well maintained. Also the special bath they have on-site smells like onions and there are multiple chipped tiles. Comfortable beds, beautiful bath house offering both cold & hot pools, free ramen at night, nice pyjamas, friendly staff, delicious brunch and central location. Would go out of my way to stay here again. We stayed here before hiking Mt Fuji! Best meal of our whole trip was a Japanese Wagyu grill down the street too!"
"A really lovely hotel with a great view of Mt Fuji. We had a good size room with a balcony, I loved just sitting on the balcony with a coffee. We added the evening taster dinner which was excellent. The breakfast was just as good. It was a 20 minute walk from the bus station, but used the free shuttle bus on the day we left to get us back to the bus station. Overall an excellent stay and would recomment it."
