Ryokans in Fujinomiya

We loved our stay here. Staff very friendly.

amazing experience with top notch service and ryokan room, with many fun amenities provided at venue excellent staff who tended to requests as best they could.

Our stay here was immersive and amazing. Every detail was thought of to create and easy and wonderful stay. Loved the pick up from the train station, welcome drink on arrival, dinner and the view from our room!

We enjoyed our stay. Excellent breakfast. Very hepful staff. Right on the lake. Easy walk into town for eating options. The taxi was a good price from the bus station. Turn right from the hotel 10 min walk for great views of mount Fuji accross the lake. We paid extra for the private heated mineral bath. Used the hotel shuttle back to the bus station. The rooms are traditional style. 5 out 5 from our group.

Beautiful place to stay. Food amazing, service excellent. Would have loved to stay longer..next time!

We felt like part of a welcoming family!!! The staff were beautiful especially the lovely lady in gift shop who showed us how to make paper cranes!!! Food was sensational and the onsens were beautiful. Such a special location deep in the mountains and away from hustle and bustle Highly recommended for a restful break

The staff were very helpful. Highly recommend the food - so fresh, delicious and a real taste of Japan. Amazing location near the lake and so many places to visit a short drive away.

The moment we stepped into the beautiful Mikawaya Ryokan, we felt so welcomed and relaxed. My friend and I stayed in a standard room with two large single beds/thick futons. The Japanese-style room itself was very comfortable, large and clean with the entry way & washroom, sleeping area, living room, and balcony separated by sliding doors. All the staff members - from reception to restaurant - were so nice and very helpful. I really appreciated the effort and care the staff took with my dietary...

Clean room with private onsen. Adequate parking spot. Staff were helpful and friendly. Japanese dinner and breakfast were yum!

Loved our stay. Courteous and polite staff. Great favorites. Very clean. Nice big rooms with awesome private and public onsen options. Breakfast was wow! Complimentary shuttle bus, ice cream machine and tea in lobby, location up in quiet hills…10/10!

The onsen was very good, loved the open air section. Free massage chairs and drink area outside. Staff friendly, helpful and can communicate with english speakers Shuttle bus leaves at 9 and 10am to get you to kawaguchiko station.

Wonderful stay on all counts.

Incredible experience! Delicious meal, and Gora Hanougi was super accommodating to an allergy request (although do read their limitations!) I really appreciated the clear communication prior to staying there and it really set me at ease. I was personally a bit nervous about the Kaiseki meal as someone who is not very into seafood (with a partner who eats everything) but I had plenty I could still enjoy (and braved a few things too!) SO good. Room and open air bath was fantastic. We got some fog...

I didn’t want to leave. We had a private bath on our balcony, the views were breathtaking and the food was great!

Bus stop right out front and convenient to the ropeway stop. Beat the crowds and go clockwise (ship, ropeway, then cable car). Black eggs stop worth it. Need cash if not using the H or K buses. Hakone pass was worth it as it covered the ferry, ropeway, cable car and H and K busses. The private onsen was really good after a day out. You book it for an hour and is included in your booking. Room #1 has its own shower, others use the onsen showers.
