"Owner is very attentive. I arrived early and was welcome and showed to my room. It is very conveniently located to Stirling castle,downtown, shopping and dining. They have an excellent restaurant, unfortunately was closed during my stay. I was traveling by myself and I feel very safe during my stay. Breakfast had an excellent variety. I ordered the Scottish breakfast,was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this cute B&B. "

"Fraoch House is a sweet place. It's older and has charm. Matthew the host was solicitous and eager to please. We had breakfast one morning and it was excellent. Our room was adequate. Lack of a plug convenient to one side of the.bed and.odd chairs that tipped over when we sat in them were drawbacks. The location was a disappointment. "We had a lovely stay at Herdshill Guest House. Easy to find, easy to park and a really friendly, helpful and welcoming owner. Everything was spotlessly clean, we had a big room for 3 adults with a bathroom and great shower - plenty of hot water. The bedroom was spacious with large windows so the room was light and airy, even though we stayed during a mini-heatwave! The house is beautiful, we sat in the comfortable lounge reading our books and also went for a walk on the disused railway opposite...

"The staff are very friendly. The rooms are airy and large. The shower is a bit of a mission to get into. The paint on the cupboard and side table is chipped and needs to be touched up. Windows open to allow fresh air as the room gets stuffy when the heaters are on. Breakfast is served quickly and the breakfast room is nicely laid out. Location is great to walk around Edinburgh."
