"The only thing this hotel really has going for them is the location and the views of Edinburgh castle. It is very close walking distance to most major sites in Edinburgh and the castle view room did have an amazing view, aside from the dirty windows. There is no thermostat in the rooms so there is no way to control the temperature. When we first checked into the room, it was sweltering hot in there and the reception told us to plug in the table fan, which wasn’t even in our room. The toilet did not flush well, the sink was clogged at first, and the refrigerator did not work. We even found someone else’s drink still in there when we opened it. The staff is not overly friendly or helpful, they seem sort of in a daze. They do not answer the phone if you happen to call the front desk or answer the QR code chat. By the end of our stay we were left without any toilet paper and could not seem to get anyone to answer. I’m sure there are other hotels with the same views that give a much better experience. Would not recommend."

"I had a very pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn in Edinburgh. The breakfast was good with variety of choices .The hotel also features a swimming pool and hot tub, which were very relaxing. The room was clean and comfortable, and all the staff provided friendly ."

"Bed and pillows was very comfortable. The quality if the bed covers made it super wasy to fall alseep ans its only 15min drove from the airport. Quality of the room was great however the menu in the restaurant was lack luster for the price."

"Staff really nice , we had an accessible room for my wheelchair, bathroom good our only gripe was the lack of storage or shelves which I found just “annoying”. Great location just off the Royal Mile, perfect for exploring."

I would highly recommend staying here. Lovely bar for an evening cocktail. great location in city center. thank you for making our stay so comfortable. my partner enjoyed your workout room each morning, as well as the sauna!"

"Very good location for walking around. Lots of restaurants to choose from in the area. Staff was very helpful. The heat in our room would not turn off the first night. They ended up moving our room at approximately 1 AM. Very helpful with that."
