Clean rooms and great staff. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Came for the weekend as friends were attending the Critical Role event in the castle. Room was spacious, clean, inviting and well stocked. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows are horrendously soft and give no support whatsoever. We had a fan in the room, but it was not very effective and it would’ve been much better if there was aircon in the room. Breakfast was lovely but a bit pricey at £17.50 each.

A lovely stay overnight in a peaceful by well located setting with helpful staff. Felt very rested and well catered for.

Good but not excellent. Noise level between rooms on the same floor was unacceptable. I could hear my next door neighbour. Staff was responsive and attended to all requests admirably. But hotel needs a lift in terms of renovation; the carpets were worn and in need to replacement.
