Great location which is close to the historical sites. The staff are wonderful and the breakfast is fresh and tasty. There is good safe parking nearby and access to the Hillel is very good. We saw lots of people dragging luggage through paved roads looking for their Air B&B which showed us that a great location this hotel is in. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is a lovely boutique hotel that is newly renovated to take advantage of the unique caves in Matera. There is a beautiful view over the gorge. We spent 3 nights here and the lovely owner spent time with us each day curating a perfect itinerary for seeing Matera. There was free parking nearby. The room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was good. It’s about a 10 min walk into the main part of town, but it’s nice to be on the edge with the view and it’s super quiet.

Great location,hard working young owners who went over board to give you great assistance.The hotel room was new and I recommend this cave room to any guest..The position of the hotel is perfect ,close to restaurants and the main square and walking old town. There was no negatives 👌

This is a cave hotel. Our room was on the top floor inside a cave. The view from our room faced the old town of Matera. It was spectacular. Breakfast offered a great variety of food, coffee made for you, fresh! The staff was so friendly. High recommended. Please note, if you are driving into Matera, you will need to park in a nearby garage, and catch the shuttle to this hotel. This area is steep and roads uneven, therefore you need good walking shoes.

This hotel is amazing. It is in a perfect location just inside the ZTL with a carpark just outside ZTL within an easy 4 minute walk to the hotel. The staff were all helpful, friendly and very courteous. We stayed 4 nights and got to see everything there is in Matera. The breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Sassi's of Matera was beautiful.
