"Great location. Tastefully and conservatively updated old building right on the Plaza Mayor. Staff including housekeeping & comforter were super friendly & helpful. The rooms and gym/pool are very small not surprisingly, given the age of the building. Very easy to get around especially around the central sites of Madrid. Appropriately priced. I would easily stay there again. "

"Very good location - nice for a first-time visit. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Building is well renovated. Rooms could be better for the price though - A/C was very loud so had to keep windows open instead (the would not work so well if I went in summer), one time there was some unpleasant bathroom smell, and card key kept demagnetizing twice a day - time to fix the card system. Would still recommend the place overall."

Also I noticed some maintenance flaws in bathroom sink (water did not drain properly, kind if stuck), and toilet water appeared to be running all day long.
