The hotel location is super convenient, right next to different transportation options. Plus, Retiro park is just a 10-minute walk away. The hotel is spotless and smells amazing. The staff is so nice and welcoming.

Hotel is in a nice area and very easy to move to any part of the city, lots of food options close by. It could use an update as its last renovation was many years ago. The main problem is the construction site right in front of the hotel; this is a major modification of the metro line so it will take a long time before the noise gets better; it also limits a lot how easy it is to use public transportation. I wouldn't book this property until the work is finished.

Very nice hotel and good rate for what you get. Hotel has a very private feel and has your own small hallway to your door. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very close to the metro (bus and subway) and has some pretty good food options near it (think small cafes and quick eats). Not right in central Madrid but very well connected. About 15-20 min train ride to Plaza Mayor.

The location and staff were great! However, we booked this hotel because it listed air conditioning, but it was broken in our room. This made sleeping quite difficult and I woke up multiple times with soaking wet pillows. If the A/C worked this would be 4 or 5 stars, but we could rarely get the rest we needed which did affect our trip a little bit. Also, wifi didn't work for out stay but that wasn't as big a deal as the A/C.

I booked this place for a friend who is blind and her two daughters. One daughter left her phone in a taxi and the hotel staff went the extra mile to help retrieve it. They could not have been nicer and more helpful. It was a very nice place to stay, with great employees.

Good location to Retiro Park area. Meto stop across the street. While it did have a privacy screen on the window that you can still see out of, the shower tub basically is in front of it facing the busy roundabout.

Great stay in Madrid. Nice big room, with comfy sofa bed for our son. Hotel is next to a metro station (circle loop line) so easy to get around Madrid. Good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Swimming pool was a bit small and the water quite cold though If looking specifically for a hotel with a pool then you might be disappointed with the Claridge’s pool. The hotel is a little outdated but they maintain well, they have underground gym with class for hotel customer to enjoy, It is close to a lot of place for life easy access. The only negative thing is the owner can consider putting sound proof device or glass, without those, the guest like us can’t get good sleeping as outside is like city central.

Recommend as a great value city hotel

Better than expected. The hotel from a distance seems dated but the decor is actually fresh and facilities comfortable and high spec. The breakfast was very good, even with vegetarian requirements and a dairy allergy. Staff were very helpful and they had electric car chargers and free parking. Nice location and a lovely plant based restaurant (even for meat eaters) down the road as well. Recommended as a reasonable priced place to stay in the capital close to the park and the airport
