You really don't have to leave the property at all as they have everything you need for a fabulous vacation. "We absolutely love ABR! Our family has been visiting this resort for the past 15 years, and it continues to be a special place for us. Each year, we notice thoughtful updates and improvements, all while maintaining the natural beauty of the grounds, which blend seamlessly with the surroundings. Everything is always impeccably clean, and the staff is consistently kind, polite, and attentive. We especially enjoy the 8 AM yoga sessions, daily beach volleyball, and the wide variety of delicious food and drinks. While the evening entertainment could use some improvement—most nights the bands don't quite energize the crowd—there’s always a great atmosphere in the main palapa after dinner. Sundays are a highlight, with a fantastic Salsa/Cumbia band that gets everyone on the dance floor! During our recent stay, the sargassum issue affected the beaches, which was unfortunate but beyond anyone’s control. Akumal Bay is typically home to some of the most stunning beaches and snorkeling we’ve ever experienced. Overall, we love this resort for its welcoming, international vibe and outstanding customer service. We look forward to returning again!"
