"This is a lovely hotel, situated a 10 minute drive off the A69, and easy driving distance to Hexham, Corbridge, as well as Cumbria and further reaches of Northumberland. Excellent hotel for walkers. The hotel has no lift, so if you struggle with mobility I would strongly recommend contacting the hotel prior to visit, and they can put you in a room just off the car park (accessable via a small ramp). "We loved our time at this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had a medical issue and needed help, the receptionist couldn’t have been more sympathetic and helpful, thank you! Great parking facility. Supermarket 5 minutes walk if needed Room was lovely, everything we needed. Easy to find location wise and not too far from city centre .Breakfasts were excellent.. best of all our hotels so far. Lovely pub right across the road, great for dinner or a few drinks. Thoroughly recommend this hotel."
