"A pousada é simples, não há tv no quarto ou na área comum. A vista do meu quarto era incrível, o que foi o ponto alto da estadia.
O anfitrião só aparece na hora do check in, depois para qql suporte a comunicação foi via WhatsApp. Até o check out me informei por ali e se eu não tivesse perguntado ninguém teria me informado dos procedimentos, que eram deixar a chave no quarto e sair, não há ninguém que recebe.
O café da manhã não tem variedade que justifique o valor de 35,00 na minha opinião( pão...
"The room, the staff and the neighborhood around it plus the access to the beach makes it a perfect spot if you’re in Ipanema. There was construction next door so it got really loud sometimes especially when you want to enjoy a meal and coffee on the patio. "
"This hotel was recommended by a friend who lives in Rio and I understand why. The location is near the Ipanema beach, safer than Copacabana, the rooms and facilities are nice and clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We reserved the 6 hour city/Cristo tour with them which was a good choice. We also enjoyed the spa for massages which were also very nice. "
"Wonderful staff. The place itself is very well located, but the bunkers are not very solid and are made from light wood (I was on the top one and all night waking up because every time the guest underneath me moved, the whole bed moved too). The communal shower is also very tight. Overall, budget friendly for backpackers who don't mind a certain degree of discomfort "

"Amazing stay! Stayed at the Janeiro hotel for 3 nights with a group of 4 friends and everything from the rooms to the service was impeccable. Rooms are large, very well designed, and very comfortable, with added personalized touches that made our stay all the more special. Bathrooms are also quite large and the shower is amazing. We enjoyed our welcome drinks from the rooftop which has a really nice view (and the drink options also top notch) and a nice ambiance at night. Did not get a chance to try the restaurant except for ordering from the beach, which I will say took a very long time to arrive. Other than that the stay was absolutely perfect. Will definitely stay again! "

The host does not include the exact location of the property in the listing and did not provide details about how to get to the property until after booking was complete.
What the host hid from the booking: The property is up on a hill inside the park, which is NOT accessible by uber. You can only get to the property from a very rough and unsafe dirt road. The only option is to rent a car or hire a driver for extra cost.
The owner did not disclose this very important detail before booking and when we realized it was too much of an inconvenience for us and would impact the quality of our trip, we were already past the refund period and we lost 50% of our booking fee (coincidence I’m sure…).
This withholding of information until after booking is at best an unethical business practice and worst potentially a scam. Be careful with booking and ensure this meets your needs before booking so you don’t lose money like we did.
