"Scary. Huge black spiders in the bathtub. Very uncommunicative check-in, no info on property, trash, or any services. If you are over 55 and don't know much about streaming services, forget TV. Handle broke off of door fridge and wardrobe. Tiny bathroom counter even though the space is huge. Not a very efficient layout. This might work for some, but not for us."

"No code was ever sent to check in, the cabin was just unlocked. Not used or cleaned in a while. Spider webs everywhere. 2 half dollar size spiders in the tub. No wifi. No curtain on door right by sink to brush teeth etc. Zero privacy. Not even a checker board or newspaper to occupy kids. No fan in bathroom made it very steamy, and could barely change in the tiny shower/toilet area. Screw actually sticking out through wall in these rushed together cabins. Unless you want to get the bare bones,...

"Very friendly restaurant staff, easy check in, private, very quiet, comfortable cabin. Excellent Mexican takeout in Millbridge and wonderful beaches and hiking trails around Machias. Great time to buy wild blueberries and enjoy the stark beauty of the barrens. Would visit again!"

"It’s name says it all. A perfectly sized, literal “bed room” in the middle of the woods. The fire pit had wood all ready for me to use. If you were to come in the winter, the tiny home has a wood stove to use as well."

"My wife and I felt very lucky to have found The Miners Den which is a very new creation of a great proprietor who really cares about your experience.The hand built cabin is gently fitted to the landscape of balsam firs and hardwoods with a light touch.It reminded me of the few small cabins in the White Mountains you find along the trails.Everything you need less food is provided.For a couple in their sixties with a friendly dog we will be excited to get back there and see what’s happening.Oh...

Highly recommended if you want simple, rustic lodging with comfortable accommodations (nice bed, everything needed for a compact kitchen to prepare meals, and nice picnic table for eating outdoors). "This is a rustic, true off-grid stay. The property is absolutely stunning and the new owners clearly care about the camp itself and are working to to update and refresh it a bit. I did have a bit of trouble finding it and due to the lack of pics and directions when I booked, it just took a bit longer. I believe that has been updated. Garrett was great, super friendly and had great communication. Beautiful stay - I needed to get out into nature and I was able to do so. Absolutely would stay again...
