"Very quiet for the city centre. Staff were all lovely, and knowledgeable. One issue... The pillows are feathers, and none available for swaps if feathers or the height doesn't suit you. I get they are environmentally better, but not great for wheezers. But having a handful of other pillows would help. I opted for a clean bath towel in a clean pillow case. Sorted. But it was clean, everything worked and quiet."

"This property is showing signs of age, but is presentable enough. There are touches of its old glory, though, in the staircases and full mirrors. Our room was comfortable enough and was spacious. The bathroom was very roomy, with a shower over the bath. Working out how to change from bath taps to the shower was a challenge and the bath could be a problem to get out of. It was nice to have coffee and tea making facilities and a working TV with YouTube etc available. The dining room for the evening meal serves tasty meals and the included breakfast was generous."

"Had a great 4 night stay at the Torrance Hotel. Very clean room, with kettle, coffee, tea, cookies. Room serviced every day if required. Delicious made to order cooked breakfast and continental buffet included with our stay. Well maintained rooms and beautiful restaurant and bar. Unfortunately on arriving back to the hotel on our last evening after being out the power was out in the hotel. Staff were amazing and assisted us in getting what we needed from our room and set us up in a taxi to go to their sister hotel, the Busby Hotel, in another town 5 miles down the road. We stayed the night there and had great service and similar breakfast the next morning. Got another taxi back to the Torrence hotel. Money was refunded for the taxis. All in all we had a wonderful stay with great service from amazing staff. Will definitely stay there again when back in East Kilbride."
