"Good location and a nice room. But rooms are quite dimly lit. Need better illumination. And the housekeeping standards need a little improvement. It's not a nice experience to return to one's room and discover that some of the used cups and mugs haven't been replaced."

"Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Room was huge and very clean and comfortable with luxurious bathroom. Parking - despite single yellow lines you can park on the road at any time of the day. We managed to get one of the 2 spots on the driveway. Hotel is within walking distance of train station, cafes and shops."

"Kings Park Hotel is an older building, so there is no elevator—or “lift,” as they call it in the UK. Our bedroom window appeared to be falling inward, but the staff assured us it was locked and would not move any further. Aside from that, the room was very spacious, with one double bed and three twin beds, and everything was very clean. We could never get the shower temperature to regulate properly, so we ended up taking baths instead. The on-site restaurant was excellent! One evening, we stopped in just for dessert and tried the lava cake, sticky toffee pudding, and rhubarb crisp—all delicious. The following night, we had dinner and ordered the haggis fritters for appetizer, fish and chips, tikka masala, and Parmesan chicken. Once again, everything was amazing! The staff members were also very friendly and helpful. Overall, the hotel shows its age and could use a few updates, but the spacious, clean room, wonderful food, and kind staff made our stay enjoyable."

"Beautiful but very small room. Everything is nice and new. We had a good continental breakfast. Too far to bother going to the city center for a pub so we just went to hotel bar in the evening. We were pleasantly surprised at the crowd and fun time. It was Wednesday night trivia night. Good supper just a block away at Giffton cafe."
