"We booked The Salty Seahorse as a celebration for my youngest son graduating from high school. In all, there were 8 of use plus two dogs. The house worked well for us because my son and his friends had the entire lower level to spread out and enjoy. We didn’t use the hot tub as the weather was warm but the pool was refreshing. The wild horses visited us several time along with other wildlife such as blue heron and turtles. There were some housekeeping issues but Andrew was quick to respond and communication was excellent. The neighborhood is quiet and the beach and ocean amazing. "

"We loved our stay here. The home was beautiful, well maintained, and very clean. Check in/out was easy. The surrounding property is lush and private. Very family and dog friendly. 4x4 is of course a must, as it’s a hike from the pavement down the beach. Grocery/food options are nonexistent nearby but the seclusion is what makes this area special."

"We loved the cottage, so close to the beach and easy to make multiple trips. One day we went 3x, at sunrise, after lunch and at sunset. The sunrise walk was spectacular, mid day we put our beach chairs in the water and after the heat of the day the wild horses come out. Experiencing driving my truck on the 4x4 beach for this 70yr old woman is something I will always remember. Bring plenty of bottled water for drinking, as the sulfur odor/color is fine for bathing and cooking/making coffee, but I preferred to drink bottled. "

"My husband and I were fortunate to spend 8 days here. The home is lovely and the owners have provided such thoughtful touches. The pups have their own blankets, bowls, and beds available. Unlike many rentals, even laundry detergent and fabulous name-brand coolers are available for your use. It feels like you are at a friend’s home. There are personal pictures and even a coffee table made from the owners’ wedding sign. You will not be disappointed if you stay here! This is assuming you like things the way they are in Carova Beach…far from the hustle and bustle of the commercialized world. The back of the property is a forest and the beach is just a short drive over the dunes with your 4x4 vehicle. Heaven!"

"Upon arriving to the property, the property was very clean. It’s in a very secluded area. There are some properties close to the house, but everybody is very respectful. We noticed that the house had lots of room for large families it was just my wife and I and the two dogs so we did not use most of them. The host left watering bowls for the dogs and food bowls two big bottles of water for us. The water near that area is not the best. If you know, you know. The house did state that the owner will be adding a new well soon for better water. The host was very attentive. He also ensured that the hot tub was ready to go cleaned out with non-chlorine disinfectant. we arrived in the evening so it was getting dark quickly so we didn’t do much that evening but watch TV and fix a easy dinner. There’s a barbecue pit outside plenty of cookware, towels and linens. There are two main decks off the house and a higher balcony on the third level. Perfect spots for morning coffee. After the first night we noticed that the TV in the main room went out the host came over within about 15 minutes looked at the TV and confirmed it was not operational and offered to replace TV while we were there. We said not needed because we didn’t come there to watch TV. We just watched tv in one of the other rooms. Wifi was pretty good coverage especially for an austere environment. We had a great time watching the wild horses and the beaches to ourselves. Highly recommend."

"This house made us into diehard Carova beach fans and I cant imagine wanting to go anywhere else in the world besides there, including this particular home. EXACTLY like the pictures, but better. All outdoor areas were amazing, decorated impeccably with seating areas and absolutely breathtaking views. From the adorable surfboard seating area on the 1st floor, to the hammock swing i never wanted to leave on the 2nd, to the screened in porch and open air area on the third, to the amazing crows nest on the 4th, complete with a built in bench and views of the ocean, the amazing inlet in the backyard and the osprey nest with mom, dad and babies! Wild horses visited us frequently, chomping away at the grass in the yard. The inside was just as great as out, clean, comfortable, complete kitchen with anything you may need. The house is very spacious and absolutely perfect. Comfortable beds and furniture, linens provided, along with bath towels. The owner was so responsive and helpful, check in and out was a breeze. The perfect, most chill and relaxing getaway...the only noise we heard every night was the croaking of frogs. Kayaks provided, which literally made our lives worth living. We saw so much amazing wildlife, dolphins, turtles, frogs, herons, osprey, deer. The house is close to the beach and driving there made beach days (everyday!) incredibly easy. Couldn't have asked for a better spot. Thanks so much for letting us enjoy your home, Phil, we cant wait to come back next summer!"
