"The reservation did not specify that the bathroom was outside and shared, otherwise i would not reserve, however, the staff always maintained the facilities clean. My cabana was the 4th one (in front of the lagoon) so when the tide goes up all the grass gets wet making difficult to walk from the cabana to the main areas, some wood carpet would help to avoid this. "Loved loved this property… wished I’ve stayed 2 nights instead of one. It’s a 10 minute drive to downtown as MBH Maya Bacalar is in the middle of jungle but so nice to wake up to the scenery and the amazing lagoon. The kids enjoyed every second of our stay. We took advantage of the paddle boards kayak and of course swimming in this beautiful lagoon. Can’t wait to go back to this amazing place. "

"Yay! What incredible value for money! It isn't the Ritz, but the room was comfortable, clean, the water was hot and it was a bargain on one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. If you feel like being budget-conscious, but still want to go somewhere beautiful go here. We've got plenty of money, but what we saved on accomodation here - we got to spend of lots of daytime activities! After all, it's just a sleeping quarters! "What an incredible tranquil stay. Staff is incredible, morning breakfast is healthy and so clean. There’s a bocce court and the restaurant has a simple menu that’s vegan friendly but also serves incredible rib eye! Hotel is set in the jungle with a short stroll to the lagoon for a sunrise kayak ride. Highly recommend for a tranquil stay. This is just outside the centro which was fine for us since we had a car. We will definitely be back. "
