"I wasn't happy with the $100.00 hold they put on my card and said it would take between 1-15 days for a refund. I as the clerk what it was for and said for anything i purchased at the hotel which they have nothing. I think that is my last stay. There needs allot of upgrades that need to be done on the roooms. The bathroom was unsat. Bathroom door had rot on the bottom. Bathtub is old and needs attention. "

"The rooms are not well soundproofed. After a long day of traveling, I was really hoping for a full night of sleep, but was woken up by loud talking and laughing around 4am, followed by music around 6am. The phone in the room was not connected, so there was no way to contact the front desk, which made the situation more frustrating. The bathroom door also did not fully close or lock.The staff were very nice, and the breakfast was good, but the noise and room issues made it difficult to have a restful stay."

"I booked my room online and went to check in 15 minutes later. When I got to the lobby, there was a line of 7 people. It took the clerk 20 minutes to check 1 person in. After waiting 30 minutes for the 1st two in line to get checked in, I heard the clerk tell someone that if they booked online and prepaid, they needed to call the third party because those reservations are not coming thru. Hearing this after 12 hours of driving was unsettling so I inquired if I should call my third party and was told I would have to wait until my turn to know if my reservation went thru, so I waited another 20 minutes until my turn in line, to be told there was no reservation. The clerk told me to have a seat, so she could check in all the others. Again, I have been on the road for 12 hours at this point. As the next man in line walked up she asked if he prepaid online and he said no. The clerk proceeds to say, loud enough for me to hear, "that's why you should never prepay online!" After hearing this and waiting almost an hour, I called Hotels.com who were able to put me in another hotel. Do not book this hotel!"

"Plenty of parking. Ive stayed many times there. Most of the staff is pretty nice. Check in was quick. They always put me in the back of hotel when I request room by front desk. Breakfast is good. Waffles, cereal, yogart, milk and I think there is toast as well. I could be wrong. Dont quote me on that. Walmart & Starbucks across the streets. Plenty of places around for food.Depends whose next to you can be noisy. Some homeless people in the area. Don't really like the TV's they have. Otherwise average place with good rates if you want cheap price for a room. Breakfast during the week is from 4am to 9am. If you have to leave early in the mornimg. "

"Beautiful and historic property. Loved the decor through. Great hallways and the room was amazing! Comfy bed, large bathroom, gorgeous windows. Very clean. All staff encountered were very friendly. On site bar was fab - great staff drinks ambience. Perefect stay and a true gem of Bakersfield ! "

"I have no idea why they have balconies with no furniture. Bring your own folding chairs I guess"
