"The hosts have created a comfortable retreat that is sensitive to the area's raw natural beauty. We had deer come through the property each day, and birds coming to the water feature outside our window. At night, we could see constellations clearly sparkling above us; the sky was rich with stars. Our hosts communicated clearly and were helpful with check-in and check-out. We will be back! "This little place is super cute and SO easy to stay in. The light switches and drawers all included labels, so finding things was really simple. Lots of really cool pine countertops, tables and shelves (if you appreciate quality woodwork). The location was quiet and pastoral, but only a few miles from Cortez and its assortment of restaurants. If I ever head to Mesa Verde again - which I may - this will be my first choice."

"We were a party of ten adults traveling to the area for hiking and fishing activities. This was an excellent property far from the city life. Lots of deer and other wildlife. Easy access to Groundhog Lake for fishing and extensive hiking opportunities. We enjoyed our stay!"
