Was able to check in earlier and got a nice room with a great view over the river. Bed is massive, soft and comfortable. Overall service is poor and very inattentive. It feels like they don’t care at all. Breakfast was a huge letdown with half of it missing, the bread wasn’t sliced properly so it was basically a thin strip of crust. No jam, milk or cutlery. Called reception to flag this and I’ve been waiting for 20mins now without any action. I understand living in Covid times is tough but I’m still paying for a 5 star hotel so I do expect a 5 star service. The pool is not heated which is another let down as I was looking forward for a swim but with outdoor temps under 15 degrees the pool was too cold.
