Hotel is in good location. Front rooms facing Brunswick St are a little noisy. Paid extra for a balcony room which was a mistake. It was on the first floor with a pretty grim outlook. Room also seemed to smell a bit which may have been from previous guests smoking on the balcony. Otherwise the hotel was okay.

Room was clean and tidy. The pool was quite different from the photos although the view was magnificent. Staff at desk were not great helping me when I asked for help to get suggestions for transport/directions. The cleaner that we bumped in to in the evenings was friendly and engaging - asking my daughter about her day. He would be great on reception!

The towels that were in the room were very thin, wet with one use and then smelled quite poorly. The bathroom looked nice from a distance, but was actually quite worn close up - paint coming off tapware etc. The staff message upfront asking for requests, but then the requests weren't done (so I dont get the point of asking upfront).

My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and raised serious concerns about their service and quality control. Upon arrival, the staff attempted to check me into an accessible room even though I had booked a standard room. I was initially told that no standard rooms were available. I explained that I did not wish to stay in an accessible room and that I was willing to upgrade by paying the difference. I was then told the upgrade would cost $100 extra, even though the price difference on their own website was only about $40. Strangely, after this conversation, I was suddenly informed that a standard room would be available in about 10 minutes. It was quite questionable that a supposedly unavailable room could become ready in such a short time. Unfortunately, the issues did not end there. After checking in, I drank some orange juice from the minibar fridge only to realise it had gone rotten. I spent the evening vomiting rotten orange juice. Due to this unpleasant experience and the overall lack of quality control, I decided to check out early and move to a nearby hotel which provided a much higher standard of service and cleanliness. Very disappointing experience overall. I would not recommend staying here.

We booked two rooms on Saturday One was getting cleaned when we arrived Upon entry the room had a very strong perfume chemical cleaner smell. Like something that was sprayed for mildew or a wet rug. We got the lowest floor with the alley view even though the hotel did not appear full. Staff were pleasant. I was not a fan of the artwork throughout the hotel.

I stay just over a week and complained twice about the slow house keeping due to lack of staff so a hotel that size. Rooms should not need cleaning after 4.40pm. The staff did a good job with the cleaning therefore they’re understaffed to keep up with the number of room. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Brisbane on business and never had to complain once in 8+ yours if quarterly visit. So extremely disappointed. I stay
