"The hotel is a little basic in that there is no fridge or kettle in the rooms - it is always nice to have a cup of tea when you wake up of come back from a day's sight seeing. The rooms were warm and the beds comfortable, with plenty of hot water for a shower or bath. The buffet breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. The view from the terrace at breakfast was lovely. "

Location is brilliant as it is literally next to the U Bahn entrance for Line 6 and 7, easy to go to anywhere. Takeaway/ doner shop downstairs and 24 hour front desk is good. "Easily the best value of any stay I’ve had in Europe. Was quoted an extremely generous rate and was cringing after learning it was right by a major tourist hub (Checkpoint Charlie) but between the charming hostess who welcomed me; the spacious and immaculate room (with excellent TV selection) and convenient location, this (and probably Select hotels generally) is a keeper. If I had any quibble, it would be the lack of wake up calls on offer…the first two nights I literally slept through my phone’s alarm, the bed was so comfortable."
