"We had a 3 night stay for a short break. We had Room 4 which was small and on the A259 so there was traffic noise. If we stayed again, we would ask for a rear bedroom. Also we felt a good mirror above the hand basin in the small en suite was needed. The bed was comfortable, the staff were helpful and friendly and the food was good. The bar area was nice with a few separate areas to sit plus a courtyard area. The hotel was also nicely located if you wanted to take a stroll and eat...

"Stayed here for one night after landing at Gatwick as it was a reletiveky short distance away. The building is lovely, in a very quiet area. The rooms are classic for an older property with sloping floors, that took some getting use to, but added to the character. The restaurant and bar were great, very bespoke design and stylish, but as the weather was good we got to sit on the terrace. The food was exceptional but only ecliosed by the staff. "Beautifully appointed spotlessly clean room with very comfortable bed! Best hotel room in a long time. Staff were kind, helpful and attentive. I had the vegetarian breakfast and was so impressed at how fresh all the ingredients were and that the chef cooked the veggie sausages to perfection………..most breakfast chefs seem to cremate them! All in all a fabulous experience. "

"Beautifully furnished and quiet, very spacious room. Lisa is a consummate host and went to loads of trouble decorating the breakfast room to celebrate Easter. The breakfasts are fantastic too. There were only two small downsides: there is an electric charge point for EV's, but it obviously isn't used much and Lisa wasn't sure how to make it work. We managed about an hour's charge and had to go and find a charging point in town and sit in the car while that happened. It would have been perfect if...

"Quiet place, room is very big and comfortable. Breakfast could be improved, especially having diary free options and fresh bread would have made difference. However, the owner was really kind to accomodate my needs and brought me a bowl of fruit which was really nice. Thanks for the hospitality!"

"The lodges are spotless, spacious, well equipped and very well situated for many attractions. The included in-room breakfast was very generous and varied. Porridge, cereal, fruit yoghurt, croissants with jam and orange juice. Tea and coffee. There is a personal picnic bench outside the door to enjoy it in the sunshine with the birds singing. The pub did great food in a lovely dining room. -it’s perfect and we will come back soon"

"We had booked a boat on the Thames for my 50th birthday for bank holiday weekend.. two days before we were due to leave it was cancelled due to the rivers being on red alert. Having spent months planning it we didn’t know what to do instead. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Le Chateaux was available. Communication was great, checkin was easy as we were met and handed keys. The house was clean, tidy and welcoming with local wine left for us. We had the most relaxing stay and really enjoyed...
