Really enjoyed my time at this hotel. The walk to the tram stations is manageable normally, but dragging a heavy suitcase through snow and ice made it feel longer than it actually is. The staff at check in were excellent. Kate at the reception desk deserves a mention because she was incredibly friendly and genuine. Honestly, she’s the main reason I’m giving 5 stars. Would definitely stay here again next time I’m in Amsterdam.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

When we checked in the bed had hair in it and the rug was dirty. The hallways smelled damp. There was no air circulation so when we took a shower it got really humid. Also, a silverfish fell on me when I was in the bathroom, further confirming the humidity and air circulation issue. I would be concerned about mould in this hotel, since it seems like there is no circulation and high humidity. The neighbourhood is cute, but difficult to get in and out of unless you’re using Uber. There isn’t too much around but it’s a nice view of the harbour and a handful of cafes nearby. If you’re looking to explore Amsterdam proper I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The rooms are very bare bones and seemed rush (peeling wallpaper, etc.) and some parts seem unfinished. There are basically no amenities and we didn’t have enough towels in our unit. I’m surprised at the very least that this hotel does not have a fitness centre. Getting into the hotel through the double doors is annoying, since you have to wait for one door to close before the next opens and it takes forever. The staff was the redeeming quality of this place— super friendly, they got us an early check in and were kind. Overall this was a subpar experience. With some actual work on the ventilation and a couple of amenities improvements for guest experience, this could be a fantastic hotel.

Very clean and spacious rooms. Great breakfast!

Although not in the city center, this gem of a hotel is really only a 10 minute bus ride and short walk away. Everyone was Incredibly professional, accommodating and helpful. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. I would say that the rooms need more lighting- it seemed a bit dark to me. Other than that, I Highly recommend!
