Great location near to train station and the port. We stayed for 2 nights and it was nice to have a quiet hotel after the hustle and bustle of the city to come back to. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the wait staff in the restaurant and the bar were very friendly.

Beautiful hotel, good breakfast selection available Unfortunately the pool and hot tub were closed due to maintenance (one reason why we booked it) but didn’t effect our stay All the staff were very friendly and helpful and a very convenient location out of the hustle and bustle of the town but within a short walk

Stayed one night in a double room with canal views. The hotel has real grandeur, though a little worn in places but that didn't take away from the experience at all. Staff were pleasant and helpful throughout. Food was a highlight, a lovely veggie lunch option in the lounge bar, and an excellent buffet breakfast in the restaurant the next morning. The style and feel of the place really suited us. Would definitely stay again.

Our fourth time staying here. We love the location! The beds are very comfortable and the staff is generally very warm and welcoming. My only complaints are the darkness of the room made it very difficult to put makeup on and as a 71 year old, getting in and out of the bathtub in order to utilize the shower (the tub was extremely deep) was pretty frightening. Nothing to hold onto at all and the tub was pretty slippery. Other than that we had a wonderful stay. We’ll most likely be back again in the spring… hopefully get a brighter room and a walk in shower. Shout out to Tiego and Dale in the bar… you made our stay even better! Oh, one more thing! The breakfast is fabulous…pricey… but fabulous.

Wonderful hotel, like a cross between The Continental and the hotel from The Shining! Extremely friendly and helpful staff, amazing breakfast, I had a junior suite for 4 nights which was huge, clean and well-appointed. Great location just a 10 minute walk from the Dam Square. The Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam is a beautiful property with stunning architecture and an excellent location. The lounge was a highlight, with great service and drinks, and the luggage service was excellent. Our room was clean, with a Nespresso machine and complimentary minibar items. However, the overall service fell short of five-star expectations. Housekeeping was extremely late, coffee supplies weren’t properly replenished, and the room never stayed comfortably warm throughout the night in spite of constantly adjusting the thermostat. Front desk staff were professional but not particularly welcoming. Overall, the hotel has plenty of charm, but inconsistent service and room comfort issues kept the experience from feeling truly five star.
