I love how they gave the history of why the building is as unique as it is. Its also right next to an amazing bakery which is a welcoming smell when you wake up in the morning. Highly recommend this hotel!!

The hotel is just a door on Dam Strasse and can be missed. Room was small. However, the hotel is in a great position, room clean and warm and staff very helpful. Enjoyed our stay.

We stayed up several flights of steep stairs, room 54. If you are fat and out of shape or have mobility issues I would look elsewhere. It didn’t not bother my friend or I. Small rooms but close to a lot and due to our rooms position it was quiet.

I stayed in the second building wich is just footsteps from the main building where reception is (not an issue at all). Room 503 is awesome, sleeps three (single beds) with plenty of room. This room even has a balcony that makes the dam square experience even more fun!

The location is fantastic but the hotel was meh. Our room was on the top floor and had no a/c. It was so incredibly hot and uncomfortable.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The location was amazing - close to good eats and lots of Amsterdam's sites. Only a 10 minute walk to the train station. The staff were also very helpful. The only drawback was the stairs which were very steep. We were on the 4th floor and it was a bit of a challenge getting our luggage up to the room.

Hotel was good, Rooms we’re small but perfect for a few days. The beds were so comfy I didn’t want to get up every morning. The location is literally meters from the red light district and coffee shops. Lots around you to do. Only bad part is the breakfast. Do not wake up for this, it’s two flavours of smoothie and two flavours of muffins, tea and coffee.

Stayed in a triple room, amazing location didnt need a travel card because all the attractions were walking distance and we were right in the middle of shops, food is literally on your doorstep open until 2/3am. Nice staff and room/bathroom and good price. Only downstairs is there’s no lift so we had to lug suitcases up a very narrow spiralling flight of stairs.

It is an old building so be prepared to carry your luggage up many narrow flights of stairs depending on which level your room is on. It is also in the touristy area and food options open late so you will hear the liveliness of the people on the street while falling asleep. I was tired from walking everyday exploring so it didn’t bother me. I fell asleep quickly. All that aside, the hotel staff are friendly, the hotel is very conveniently located and walkable to many things. I would consider staying here again next time I’m in Amsterdam. Love the city and the friendly people!
