"Modern Hotel in Old Town"
Ibis Edinburgh Centre Royal Mile – Hunter Square is in the heart of Old Town. Perfect location. The hotel's rooms and amenities are minimalistic in its style and design, nevertheless a comfort stay. There is a bar and restaurant in the lobby. There is a charge for the buffet breakfast. Coffee is amazing.

"The owner cares"
This is not a fancy place but it is meticulous and the owner cares a lot about maintaining his hotel. Beds were comfortable. A sink in the room. Excellent and very generous breakfast. Great and safe location beside Calton Hill.

Twin Lions Hotel - Edinburgh Hotels

Twin Lions Hotel

"Simple, clean and comfortable."
My adult daughter and I decided to extend our stay in Edunburgh and booked the Twin Lions on a late booking as our original hotel was full. We had a designated parking space, 24hr access and a very clean room. Although the facilities were fairly basic, having an actual key rather than a card for our door was fun and we had lots and lots of pillows. The beds were comfy and the room temperature controllable. A cooked breakfast was included in the price and this was the only thing I felt the hotel fell short on. The breakfast was small and the sausages weren't great quality. A strong coffee would have been appreciated too. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, giving the place a family business feel.

Sakura Edinburgh Guest House

18 West Preston Street, Edinburgh - Map
Not too far from the centre but hey, Edinburgh is all about walking around and enjoying the sights isnt it. That's what we love doing, all those old buildings to take in and Arthurs Stone is looming near by. The owner must have lived near by because he was very helpful in coming back and for when we wanted to leave our luggage until our evening flight. Good value for money. The cafe and pub opposite both offer great breakfasts. Beware if you arrive late in the evening - you cant buy alcohol from the shops after 10pm ;:)

"Staff made my stay great!!!"
This is a traveller/backpacker, money saving B&B. The location of the Adelphi is central to a number of bus lines. There is a supermarket nearby and a huge park right across the street. What really made this hotel stand out for me compared to others was the staff. The onsite manager during my visit was Mandeep. She was amazing and made sure we were comfortable, she gave great directions and when she didn't have the answer was quick to resource the right answer. We enjoyed this hotel so much, we checked back in for the last leg of our stay as well. I will definitely return to the Adelphi!!!
