"While traveling with our 15 year old son we stayed the weekend in this lovely cottage on the property of Victor an Carina just south of Edinburgh. The hosts are showed wonderful hospitality and the cottage is comfortably set up to sleep three (or four). Great attention to details of all we needed for a comfortable stay including notes for outings in the area and for getting to Edinburgh by bus or train. We definitely want to return to this beautiful cottage with wonderful hosts."

None measured up and that was only based on the images. The pictures undersold the property, utterly. The Garden House became a serendipitous highlight of our trip to Edinburgh. House was very clean and comfortable with a lovely view onto village green and the kitchen area was spacious too. All in all highly recommend."

"We loved the location (we were aware of the parking potentially being problematic, but parked outside house all stay) and being on a hill didn’t cause us any problems. It was worth it for the view alone! The property has retained its charm whilst having all mod cons and everything we needed. The host was so accessible, but we didn’t need anything. "Spacious, clean, and perfect location to access the many sites of Edinburgh. My only suggestions would be to replace the tired sofas in the living room and add basic amenities like soap, shampoo, etc. for the bathrooms. Otherwise, we had a great stay!"

"An excellent property to rent outside of Edinburgh. Perfect for dogs and families. The cottage was warm and well lit when we arrived and the fireplace was already prepped with a basket full of logs. The manager of the property was very friendly and she came over to introduce herself and check we had everything we needed. Strongly recommend and will be going back."
