We chose the Marina Guest House purely based on excellent reviews we read! It was all the reviews said it was, and my partner & I had a wonderul stay on Sat night, Jan 25th. 2014......from owner, Pandora's greeting, thru' the walls covered in all the personal touches collected over the years to the comfort of the en-suite room. As Pandora had thought we wanted a 'twin' room, she had gone to the trouble of putting in an extra bed to facilitte...(The double bed was more than adequate!). The 'en-suite' IS bijou but WHAT A POWERFUL shower...WORTH getting washed with in the morning! Breakfast was a wonderful full English, (Continental available), and I will NOT give away the true genius of what, INSTEAD OF tables, breakfast is served on! The WHOLE night/morning had such a personal touch, it is more than I can say to recommend a night here. Do NOT book any other Guest House in Worthing!

We wanted a convenient location right in the heart of Chichester with food and drink on site and we got exactly what we wanted. The food was lovely, the staff very friendly and attentive considering they had a big party in. Room was cosy and clean but no bath. Glad we booked a table for the evening meal as it was very busy. Very glad we booked here and not the Ship 3 doors up as that looked a lot more top end and less busy.

Did not see any staff but I was constantly updated by email on everything, room was v well designed and had great facilites

Lovely quaint hotel with lots of nooks and crannies, difficult to find though as Sat Nav would only take us to street, and it was down some very narrow winding lanes. The rooms were incredibly hot, and it was difficult to turn the radiators down. In room 1 there was just a shower, but in room12 there was a shower over the bath which could not be regulated at all. After being scalded then frozen with no happy medium I gave up. We did report this. The staff were kind courteous and friendly. The breakfast was wonderful.

Staff asked me to ring back when I phoned to check my reservation, they didnt say why. Room was dismal and smelt musty. Breakfast was slow and poor quality. It was very much "help yourself" when there was food available. It was like a very downmarket travel lodge at twice the price. I would not stay there again or advise anyone I know to do so.

We stayed for one night at the castle hotel and we really enjoyed it. We booked the budget double room which was described as small but it was actually bigger than we imagined and perfectly adequate. The room could probably have done with some redecoration but was perfectly clean. We arrived late so the pub had stopped serving food but there is an Indian and Chinese next door. We ate at the Indian which was very nice. The breakfast was lovely with a choice of cooked to order breakfast items. I had eggs benedict which was delicious. There was also cereal if you wanted it. We paid £55 for the night which we thought was a bargain. Overall a great trip just a shame we weren't there for longer as the surrounding area looked beautiful.

Considering the reviews we had read before we stayed at the Royal Hotel it was better than we had expected. I mean you get what you pay for and we got a very reasonable room rate. The room was OK and clean and the view was pretty good. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. Good location, in easy reach of facilities in the town. Overall not an unpleasant experience.
