"Guest house near to rail station, airport, carpark."
As I travelled alone my single room was good value for money. My room was small but plenty of space for 1 person. The bed was confortable and I slept very well.
Breakfast was cooked as you arrived into the dining room.
The quality was very good, it was hot and well presented.
Nigel was a good host, very chatty and well mannered.
I was visiting holiday friends nearby so this guest house was ideal for my short stay.
I would visit again.
Lovely big rooms, plenty of room to play hide & seek with my 2 year old!
Pool not very big,or deep, but perfect to have a splash & unwind after a long car journey.
Staff were incredibly friendly and always happy to give a balloon and a big fuss to our little girl at mealtimes.
The toiled didn't flush in our room, when we arrived, but we reported it,and it was fixed straight away. We also had a very speedy delivery when we ordered room service on one night of our stay.
Overall a very enjoyable stay, with good food and friendly helpful staff.
Will defiantly stay here again.
This charming inn, with its thatched roof, superb food and comfortable rooms provided us with a convenient and enjoyable 'pit stop' in the midst of a couple of days of cycling in the beautiful New Forest. Even though the Pilgrim Inn is part of a hotel chain, the staff were very friendly and the menu was full of fresh and interesting local produce. The 'olde worlde' charm runs from exposed timber and the open fire in the restaurant to angled ceiling in our 'attic' bedroom with its attractive furnishings and decor. Unfortunately, we bumped our heads a couple of times on the ceiling and we'd have liked a functioning extractor fan in the windowless bathroom.

We reached the Blue Keys Hotel after an 18-hour air travel ordeal, and were initially intimidated by the lack of air conditioning and a steep, narrow stairway climbing two flights to our room. But once there, what a delight. The room was cozy, bright and airy with fully opening windows admitting a lovely breeze with a pedestal fan to keep the air moving. It was very quiet with only an occasional ship's whistle from the port or a screech owl in the night. Our host Kelly was most helpful, lugging our heavy suitcases up the stairs and then delivering a late lunch to the room. The food was delicious and the apple and forest berry crumble with custard sauce was one of the best deserts ever. We slept in and so missed the full, cooked breakfast. The hotel is a 115 year old building, located in a peaceful residential neighborhood. With the restaurant on he first floor, it is an ideal choice for pre-cruise stays.
The lady of the hotel was excellent and zzz helped us to find a photograph shop for a battery for our video camera. Our bedroom wS large and we had a nice outlook on to the garden very pleasant hosts and would certainly go there again if I wS down that area
