"The hotel room was fully renovated, very spacious and clean. Bathroom was big enough and had a good and relaxing shower. Hotel was under renovations and only negative point was that they did not let us know about the temporary entrance. The surrounding area was well served by restaurants and coffee shops, and very near from the next subway station. Hotel had a bar with pool table and thought that was cool they were transmitting Premier League and Formula 1 on a big screen."

"Really great stay at the Gainsborough. Spacious, clean, quiet, well-appointed single room. Helpful staff. The only negatives - the room was grey and charmless. The door of the en-suite was fitted so that you had to access the toilet by getting into the shower. Entertaining!"

"No hairdryer or coffee & kettle in the rooms. Breakfast was ok but basic. Need a new toaster. Otherwise good value for money and an excellent location for visiting London. Underground is walking distance away and there are take outs, restaurants and Sainsbury's, Tesco, M&S etc in walking distance. No smoking is allowed which is an extra bonus. Clean and tidy rooms. Will go again when visiting London."
