I have known about this motel for ages since we lived in Colorado Springs for over 20 yrs and passed by on the way into Manitou Springs. I always thought it was a quaint place. When I booked concert tickets earlier this Spring we knew we would be spending the night so we didn't have to drive 2 hours to get home. Upon searching for a place, I noticed that the Silver Saddle was listed and took a chance. What a nice surprise! The grounds were neat and the pool is a center feature out front along with lovely flowers. As we checked in, the clerk was super friendly and helpful as he gave us the key to our room which was spotless! It smelled wonderful upon opening the door, too. The bed was made with nice linens, the bathroom was clean and sparkly, and there was a nice little bench out in front to sit and look at Pikes Peak.
Since the Silver Saddle was built many years ago with concrete, the noise level was low so we didn't hear much while sleeping (on the extra comfortable bed).
We will recommend this to our friends here who travel to the Front Range and we for sure will book a room with the Silver Saddle the next time we go down for a stay.
