My main priorities when booking were cleanliness, and a comfortable bed. I did not think I would find a hotel which reached the standard of the Regency (unless it was a five star Intercontinental type) The Regency is a small family run hotel. It is a short (cheap) taxi ride to the crowded shopping and business arears. The hotel is quiet, as the rooms are above street level and there is much less traffic in the area. The hotel is immaculate. The beds have sprung mattresses and very comfortable pillows inducing a very good night's sleep. There is a small Restaurant for Hotel guests. The breakfasts are very good with a plentiful choice. I ate in most evenings as there was a good selection and Staff were willing to provide dishes not on the menu. The Food was basic, good quality and well cooked. Service was amazing!
I would highly recommend this hotel. I was an elderly female staying alone and was treated with respect and amazing attention. If I return to Mumbai I would book this hotel and would go for some pampering at the tiny spa about 2 minutes walk down the hill!
This was a reasonable Indian hotel. Nothing particularly special. The wifi worked well, and the breakfast buffet was adequate. It was a good deal for Mumbai, where a lot of hotels seemed to be very expensive in the area.
*For these trips, trip savings is at least equal to the cost of the flight or hotel if booked separately. Note: For trips including flights, you will be charged by the airline for the flight, but your savings on the trip will equal the cost of the flight.
