"The hotel was fantastic! Incredibly beautiful house, like a small castle. We were welcomed by the owner Ana who showed us around and made us feel very welcome. Beautiful natural garden with lots of space for the children to play and go exploring. Personal and warm atmosphere. Breakfast in front of the fireplace was a highlight. "We had a wonderful 2 day stay at the Mill House near Santa Cruz. Carla and her family were incredibly welcoming, generous and warm people. Right after check in we got a tour of the farm that is part of the property and her husband gave us samples of some things they grow there. Carla, her husband and daughter were extremely helpful and responsive to any little issues that came up. "An ideal retreat to escape the hustle and bustle. The flats are tastefully and modernly furnished. The facilities are very good and the large pool provides refreshment on the hot days. The landlords proved to be very accommodating and helpful. So our second stay here was again very pleasant."

"We booked this because I wanted to be near the sea = we were actually high up on a rocky promontory but that was fine, view was great and we were not in the midst of loads of people. One issue is parking - we had no trouble but I can see during busy times that there may be. But there seems to be enough, just need to be creative. The house was clean and has everything - no AC but with the sea air, probably no need,. It does take time to get used to the European way of heating water for showers...

Ralph made us feel very welcome and was extremely helpful with recommendations on where to go and eat etc. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed, and was in a great location, minutes from the beach and local amenities, including supermarkets, bars and restaurants. Praia das Maçãs is a very chilled and relaxing place to stay and we met some lovely people. We stayed 12 nights and loved it. Thank you Ralph, we hope to be back! :-)"

"It is difficult to criticise the property and grounds. All very good. It is a little remote, but access to eg supermarkets and beach is very quite close to hand. The pool and BBQ area are excellent. Ages ranged from 13 to 80, and we had a great holiday. Thanks"

"very homely studio with great view and close to town and surfing beach. Jesida and her husband was lovely host. They were friendly and gave us warm welcome. our flight was early and requested early check in and there was no problem. There were builders in the premises for renovation work during mornings but didn't really bother us. only down point was there were ants near the inside door /dinning area which we couldn't seem to get rid of and lots of construction noises around the neighbourhood....

"We greatly enjoyed our stay in this nice lovely cottage with its unique rural style and design. The host is extremely friendly and always helping with any requests. The welcome basket is absolutely amazing – we just loved to reenergise ourselves after a long trip with the delicious local treats. The area around is nice and calm – perfect for a family get away and taste the Portuguese style. We found everything we may need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend."

"This house is homey and spacious. It does not have a hot tub. The beds are good and the views are amazing. There is definitely an electrical problem that was addressed but not solved during our stay (3 weeks). You can not run the heating units/AC all together, you cannot run the dishwasher and washing machine together. The electric supply is not sufficient for the house. We worked around it and had a good stay but if you’re not handy probably you should stay elsewhere."

"We loved our time in Azoia. The house was very cozy and had lots of space. One warning the stairs are a little steep and the full bathroom is upstairs. Could be difficult for some people. 1/2 bath downstairs so that was good for the nighttime. Love the town- some of the best restaurants we had our whole 10 days in Portugal… The coffee house across the street was very wonderful to have for morning coffee and pastries. Would definitely recommend. Our family had a wonderful time."
