"Lovely quiet holiday in the country, and still on the Algarve, not an English breakfast or fish and chips in sight, the accommodation is great and suited us well, plenty of room to site out on the patio's and enjoy the sunshine. It's a five mile drive to get to the shops so a car is a necessity, there is a little Portuguese cafe / bar just down the road that does nice coffee. "A lovely villa with a pool, situated in a tranquil location offering stunning panoramic views. While the house is charming, it could benefit from some furniture renovations, especially in the bedrooms, and the addition of air conditioning for the summer months."

"This charming cottage is right on the beach, which you will pretty much have to yourself in the early morning and evenings/nights. It was also quiet all day on the Sunday we were there. The patio is stunning. There are fantastic restaurants so close you can see them from your patio. You are about at the half-way point on the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail, an easy walk to Praia de Marinha (1/2 hour tops). We were always able to find free parking just above the cottage. It is a STEEP walk on stairs...

"Place is just as described. Very small but great location with view of the beautiful beach from our balcony and close to restaurants!! Great area for hiking. We had some trouble finding it and had to ask local resident. In your check in notes you could mention it’s above the ice cream shop and there’s a narrow access on the left across from Breeze cafe !"

"The apartment is spacious and equipped enough to ensure a comfortable stay. Enough space for things and relaxation. Comfortable beds. Kitchen with sufficient equipment, we did not complain about the lack of something. The owner is very nice and polite, offers advice about the area and available attractions. The decor of the apartment may be a bit old-fashioned, but the furniture is comfortable and functional. The bathroom is quite large, and probably requires a slight modernization and cleaning...

"Thank you Helena, We stayed for just five nights, we needed a quiet break away and this Villa was perfect. It was very clean and tidy and the pool was wonderful. The Villa is old and rustic, authentically Portuguese with antique but adequate furniture. The kitchen is dated and unfortunately has no cupboards for food storage, just the fridge but it is clean and there is a dishwasher which is great after using the coal fired BBQ. The washing machine works well. There are two air con units,...

"Cute set up, and nice rooftop deck. It’s about 10K west of Tavira but we had a car so was fine for us. Easy access to a beautiful area of quaint towns and spectacular beaches. Seeing wild Flamingos were a bonus!"

"No property identification on road or property. Double electronic gates to property, long access rough track. Pool not covered or fenced, not suitable for children. House has 18 steps to upstairs bedrooms, elderly unable to use upper floor, used only bedroom on ground floor."

"The pool was closed and has been for some time as they are rebuilding it. This was not advertised when booking nor was it communicated to us afterwards. Bike hire and meals also need to be arranged the day before , again this wasn't communicated to us when booking or when speaking to the reception on the phone prior to arriving. It's a lovely village but I think it's not ok to advertise facilities that aren't available as this was a big reason why we chose it. I would definitely go again though...

"The house is perfect for a couple, wouldn’t have changed anything. The garden is beautiful and leads to the cliff tops with lovely walks east and west. With orchids and birds in the garden it was perfect for the naturalist in me to enjoy. Simon was helpful and friendly. Just a really lovey time for us both."
