Bed and Breakfast in Drumchapel

"First of all , Tom is a lovely host friendly and had suggestions for dining and taxi service . Room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for moving around . Breakfast was very hospitable and yummy food provided with company at one table with the other B&B persons. My only issue was that four rooms shared a bathroom on the second storey so maybe a suggestion would be to have potentially scheduled shower times or cleaning supplies to share between persons visiting . "The Shawlee Cottage is a convenient place to stay when you have a car as it is a short drive to Glasgow and the surrounding areas. The owners Sandy and Cathy make an effort to have a conversation with you around the breakfast table, and they sure do have stories to share. They make your stay very welcoming. "

"We didn't actually stay as the accommodation was not operating as a B and B when we arrived. Hence the poor rating. Expedia were very helpful when I rang to let them know what had happened"

"Unterkunft sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Im ganzen Haus liegt alter staubiger Teppichboden aus. Zimmer sehr altbacken. Leider war der Wasserkocher so alt und/oder nicht richtig gereinigt, dass sich das Material am Boden gelöst hat und Schimmel darin war auch nicht auszuschließen. Eigentümerin hatte mich herfahren und parken sehen, kam aus ihrem Cottage heraus und lief an mir vorbei ohne zu warten oder grüßen. Sie wusste genau, dass ich ein Gast des Hauses bin. Etwas sonderbar."

"Lovely B&B in a quiet country location at Mauchline outside Kilmarnock. Modern house surrounded by peaceful countryside surrounded by farmland with views over to Arran on the horizon. The room was comfortable and clean with all amenities and free wifi available. The breakfast was epic with a fabulous selection of a platter of fresh fruits,yoghurt,homemade fruit compote and granola followed by a selection of cooked breakfasts for every type of diet. "My room was very clean however the cleaners used were very strong and gave me a headache day 1… however I was able to open the windows so it soon cleared out… "

"So central , lovely apartment with tea, coffee, sugar , biscuits etc. massive comfy bed with no sound from outside . Looked after our luggage and the guy who checked us out today was just lovely . Will be back for sure "
