"Close to beach and shopping"
The hotel appearance was welcoming. Upon arrival at 2 p.m., I was able to get into my room. I was on the 5th floor. Since I was by myself, they placed me in a room that was at the end of the hall. That was nice as I really wanted quiet because I was there for a week and I didn't want the noise of being next to teens or families. The room was a good size. The shower stall was smallish. I had to place my shampoo, conditioner, etc. outside of the shower which caused a lot of water to spill out onto the floor when I was reaching for it. The only other complaint was when people closed the door to their rooms. The locks closed so hard that I could hear people above me when they entered and exited their rooms and down the hall from me too. When I was sleeping, it would wake me up. I guess I am more sensitive to noise. I liked being close to the beach and stores as I walked everyday. An ABC store was only a block away. I bought a 20oz Kona coffee and a sweet roll for $2.90. That was enough breakfast for me. The coffee was always hot and the store employees were really nice. I felt safe in the hotel and the surrounding area too.

"Nice facility"
Was good location and nice facility. Would have preferred more dining options and less per day "resort fee". Pool is not open after 7pm and there is no jacuzzi which would be nice on vacation. if you are a smoker, there is no good smoking section. Only dining facility is pricey, even for breakfast buffet.

"Nice but noisy"
I was given room #900 whic is directly next to the elevator shafts! The noise was all night long, cars going up and down all night. They need to sound proof these rooms better or else, not rent them out and use them for storage or something else. Before you check into your room, ask if it abuts the elevators!

"Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel"
A strange hotel concept. Check in was different as it is located almost to the outside of the building. Rooms were very dated, small, but clean. The bathroom was the tiniest place, and if you are a very large person, the shower has issues. If you wanted a room with a view of Waikiki beach, then you pay extra for a room with a view. They also have a resort charge per day. This is all in addition to whatever the room rates are, so please factor all of that in your decision when you book this hotel.

"Very nice hotel "
Arrival at the Beachcomber was easily the quickest I have come across the checking in was about the friendliest and helpful that I have come across. Their cleaners were so helpful when ever we required anything and were a font of helpful tips about other activities on and around the hotel and island this does not take away the other staf including security and other service personnel that worked there, overall it was a refreshing experience which I recommend to any traveller either running single or travelling in a group.

"Excellent hotel! Right next to beach w/ great view"
We were only there for 2 nights...but it was amazing. They upgraded our room for free! There is free breakfast and they supply you with a "to go" bag in case u want to take your breakfast to the beach (which is right across the street). So so happy with my choice in staying here. I will definitely return!!

"Good location nice hotel"
Great hotel with large rooms. We had an issue and had to change rooms as the wind was whistling under the door and was extremely loud. We were on the 18th floor. This was in the middle of the day above all the other noise. There is no way my 4 year old twins would have gone to sleep with the noise. They thought the noise was a loud ghost! The front desk staff were helpful and let me have a look at another room before changing rooms. The next room was on the same floor just the other side of the building and was fine. The free breakfast that was included was not worth getting out of bed early for. I would stay again but would make sure our room was not a city view

Pocket Guide: Oahu Island Waikiki 3 stars Hotels

Waikiki established its reputation as a getaway when the Moana Surfrider opened its doors in 1901. Today, more than 30,000 hotel rooms are packed in the skyscrapers along the golden sands of Waikiki Beach. At the end of Waikiki, Diamond Head towers as an enduring landmark. West of Waikiki, Pearl Harbor offers a somber testament to history and the victims of World War II.
