"Excellent location with all amenities. Beach and Waikīkī close by. Kitchen a plus. Only thing missing was the bathroom was not convenient for seniors with disabilities. Although shower chair was provided on request, lack of grab bars made it extremely difficult to navigate for my father who has stroke. Other than this, Ilikai was wonderful!"

"I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and all of the staff were very helpful and friendly. I also really liked that the breakfast was different each day, which gave it some nice variety. The location was great—only a 2–3 minute walk to the beach and about a 5-minute walk to the park and zoo. I didn’t have a car during my stay and mainly relied on the bus and walking. I only used Lyft once, to get to Kōloa Ranch, so the location was very convenient for getting around without a car.The price was also great for what you get. My only downside would be the elevators. There are only two elevators per tower, and every other day, it seemed like only one was working. Depending on what floor you’re staying on, you may not want to take the stairs. I once waited about 15–20 minutes for an elevator. Other than the elevator situation, I had no complaints and would definitely consider staying here again."

"The room was gorgeous! Bravo for the elevated and tasteful decor. The exterior does need a little facelift here and there as it is an older hotel, but there is a "classic," old Hawaii charm about it. Bell Attendant was a bit pushy when we did not let him take our bags before check in - asking repeatedly - when guaranteed check in was only 30min out. Other than that, the staff at the Veranda was so nice and cheerful and dinner at Arancino was amazing. This is a great option to stay outside of Waikiki."
