Being a sensitive sleeper, I trawled reviews on hotels in Berlin and finally settled on the Domus due to the excellent feedback and recommendations other people had posted online of it being quiet and friendly. And it was exactly so. It's a quarter of a mile from the Kurfurstendamm shopping district and only about another quarter of a mile from the Zoological Garten train station which can ferry you anywhere you fancy around Berlin. The staff were very smiley and friendly and the dining room is the coolest place i've eaten a breakfast buffett thanks to the nu-art pictures on it's walls. The breakfast itself was ace...cereals, hams, cheeses, fruit, eggs, fruit juice, coffee...everything you need to load up for a big day exploring the city. My room was on the 4th floor but the convenient lift was a God-send for my tired bofy after being out and about all day. My single room was basic but properly adequate enough with tv and shower and a quiet outlook over a pleasant on the eye side street. There was no noise apart from guests entering and leaving their rooms and the hotel as a whole was never too bustley to feel your space was being invaded. I'm going back to Berlin in the winter so will definately stay at the Domus again.
Excellent location, between the train station and check point charlie. We were able to leave our bags with the hotel when we checked out because our flight wasn't until late in the afternoon. Room was more than sufficient, would certainly stay here if we came back to Berlin

In the heart of the city, at the head of the avant-garde in Europe, was born the Hotel Gat Point Charlie. 140 fully equipped …More
Second time I have been here and the location is great just 50 meters from the U-Bahn station at Wittenbergplatz so really good base to get around. Lots of cafes and restaurants in the area and only 5 minutes to one of the main shopping areas. Huge breakfast served until 11.
stayed a few nights in this hotel, it is situated in a nice quiet part of town but has plenty of shops and restaurants in close walking distance plus a bus stop just round the corner so using Berlins excellent transport system you are not far away from anywhere in Berlin
Friendly staff at reception around the clock. Decent sized room and bathroom, and great to have a communal kitchen area downstairs for guest use. We were out most of the day, and it was very easy to walk or access transport to where we wanted to go from this hotel. It was nice to have a few drinks in the bar when we returned at night. This is the best location if you need to get a long distance train to somewhere else at the end of your stay, as the station is just across the road, the hotel will store your luggage if needed, or you can just check out and hang out at the bar/cafe if you prefer.
Spent three nights in the hotel over a long weekend. Had a very good time and can't fault the hotel apart from one minor aspect.
Staff were very helpful and spoke excellent ennlish as I'm a typical British tourist who has a few basic words.
The breakfasts were excellent. Initially I thought they were expensive before actually having one. We didn't need to eat after breafkfast until the evening.
We eat in the restaurant one evening and this to was excellent.
My only minor complaint is that it took about 15 minues to get a drink in the bar one night but it was very busy.
