The hotel was lovely! Great value for money and it was in a top location in berlin, just off the main shopping street. The staff we're welcoming and the rooms were a great size. Would definitely recommend!
Second time I have been here and the location is great just 50 meters from the U-Bahn station at Wittenbergplatz so really good base to get around. Lots of cafes and restaurants in the area and only 5 minutes to one of the main shopping areas. Huge breakfast served until 11.
Great hotel. Lovely design and quirky touches. Friendly staff. Jungle room had a lovely view over the zoo. Only let down was the hotel food and massively over priced and average cocktails. Breakfast buffet was good with a wide selection but don't recommend the hot food. Overall would highly recommend.
Friendly staff at reception around the clock. Decent sized room and bathroom, and great to have a communal kitchen area downstairs for guest use. We were out most of the day, and it was very easy to walk or access transport to where we wanted to go from this hotel. It was nice to have a few drinks in the bar when we returned at night. This is the best location if you need to get a long distance train to somewhere else at the end of your stay, as the station is just across the road, the hotel will store your luggage if needed, or you can just check out and hang out at the bar/cafe if you prefer.
I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The room was small (as to be expected in a bit European city), clean and comfortable, with a TV with channels in several different languages. It's really close to the Spittalmarkt U-Bahn stop, which makes it convenient and a breeze for public transportation. It's in a safe neighborhood on a small quiet street. It's within walking distance of cafes and restaurants, and about a 15-min cab ride from the main train station (Hauptbahnhof).
The hotel restaurant has a small selection of snacks and meals (I had the pizza one night and the pasta the next night--both meals were delicious!) and a bar that are open until 23:00. I would stay here again.
Staying for a weekend in Berlin in January (Friday to Monday, 3 nights). I have stayed at this hotel several times under several different manifestations. It is a nice hotel in a brilliant location. The staff are very helpful and cheerful. The rooms are on the snug side for two people but work fine -- a city break is not the time to spend much time in one's hotel room. It is a brilliantly situated hotel, close to KaDeWe and 2 U-bahn stations are very close.
