The AC only went down to 19. It was not cool enough for those who sleep hot. I was given an accessible room. The bars and seat in the shower need a good scrub. I also didn’t have a facecloth. Thankfully I was only there for one night. The employees at the front desk were great. The guy from the transportation service was also great.

This is a gorgeous old hotel with so much history! We absolutely loved it- but the staff- particularly George- was fantastic! The high tea and breakfast were worth the price. We will definitely be back but next time we’ll upgrade to a bigger room. Loved our experience- highly recommend!

A fabulous experience from start to finish, the staff are professional and charming, the building a delight, rooms well designed and equipped, quiet and comfortable .Food and drinks generous and delicious.Our sizeable family celebration lunch party was well looked after, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Looking forward to returning soon!

Lovely clean and comfy bed. Repair to towel rail carried out immediately. Quiet setting despite the nearness of roads. Staff on the premises very good. Bar staff and breakfast staff excellent. Booking was diabolical. AI was rubbish.
