Sand Island Beach Holidays

Island Colony was a great place to stay overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with cookware, toiletries, towels, and even beach chairs and a backpack cooler. I loved the patio view and enjoyed relaxing out there. The pool, hot tub and sauna were clean and relaxing, and security felt solid. The only downside was parking -- the kiosk instructions are confusing, and you have to use separate elevators for the garage and rooms. Definitely ask staff for help the first time. I'd stay again, I truly enjoyed the room and its amenities. Very convenient location. Parking isn't the owners fault -- just something to be aware of. Parking is definitely cheaper if you go for the 5 days. $235/5 days vs $47/nightly. 4/5 Wonderful Room

Parking is expensive just rent a car on days you need it Uber every where else.

Room I was assigned was occupied by someone else when I got to the room. It was marketed as a quiet place to rest away from the noise of the main area - but it was the sea world of hotels. Also they charged by for 2 nights for a 22hr stay because I arrived early in the morning.

Staff was very attentive and polite. The resort sits right in the middle of Waikiki. Only down side was meals were less than filling. For the cost I feel that the food and portion size were small. Breakfast was very unsatisfying however the restaurant called Eggs & Things is only two doors down. Overall stay was 4.5 star

The staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly.

1. There was a constructional noise in the morning (starting ~9:30 am). 2. We had the impression that the hotel doesn't restrict the access to the property: we saw that people from the street and other hotels are coming freely to the hotel's restaurants or to the hotel's beach. So, It was super crowded everywhere. Unexpectedly crowded! 3. One day I came to the beach like at 10:30 am and there were no sun chairs and umbrellas available for rent. I was told that I have to come at 6:30 am to get something. Well, when I'm on my vacations, surprisingly, I don't want to participate in a race for the sun chairs especially taking into account how much the hotel cost. Overall, the hotel is not bad, but you will not relax there. And, IMHO, it doesn't cost the money they ask.

Bathroom was clean. The room service was every other day so 2 rolls of toilet paper weren’t enough for 4 people in 2 days .

Honestly im not one to write reviews but this is one of the most uncomfortable places to stay you dont get a good view the bed is really uncomfortable and overall just sketchy. The parking says “free parking” yeah its free parking if you’re lucky to find a parking spot we drove around over an hour and finally found a meter but the most time you could put was 3 hours so you had to walk to the car and pay 3 dollars for 3 hours and keep on repeating that. Even if you found a spot along the water you would have to get up early and move it because of the street-sweeper. We only stayed a couple of hours because there are no windows there, and theres a lot of homeless nearby so that didn’t make it any better so we left. Then when we did leave the guy at the front desk was upset that we didn’t feel comfortable there and he said “Your choice” when we left in a upset tone of voice and he didn’t make the stay any better if not he made it worse. He was nice at first but until we wanted to leave he was upset. And the cleanliness was good until we saw a whole bunch of ants on our counter in the kitchen and in the bathroom as well so the cleanliness of the hotel is very questionable. Overall the stay was the worst stay I have ever been at and I don’t recommend this place at all I know its good for the budget but trust me this is not the kind of place you want to go to if anything find another hotel in a reasonable range just DONT COME HERE unless you want to feel uncomfortable all night.

I loved the proximity to the beach, just a few mins. Amenities were useful. Did not like loud AC and loud noise in general. Would come back again.

This is a great property to stay at. It’s clean it’s comfortable and it’s in a great walking location to the Waikiki area. I felt the price was very good and affordable with what you received. I would definitely consider staying here again.
