We had a Dolphin Lanai for a week and it was amazing. The room was quiet, spacious and scrupulously clean. The entire staff resort were so helpful and courteous. Shuttle was convenient to downtown Waikiki. Beach was lovely. Hotel restaurants were delicious if a little pricey.

Great property, location, staff, upkeep, room etc.
This is a pricey choice but in my opinion we got our money's worth. All rooms are good size and very updated and have balconies. Staff was attentive, water was provided daily as well as some small goodies. The beach is very small but other beaches are close. The location is spot on Waikiki, an easy walk to the main street and all its amenities, tour busses, restaurants etc.

The hotel location is good however the beach access is very bad for a five star hotel
No private beach you have to carry your chair la umbrella and towels with you
And you share the public beach with all kinds of people including homeless
