"All the hotel staff were kind.
In particular, the male staff who responded to dinner on Saturdays and Sundays was very likable and I was able to have a pleasant meal."
"Staffs are super friendly and Very polite! Restaurant food are top notch! Ceiling top floor glass windows give you fantastic view! Definitely recommend!"
"Stayed here for a layover was a reasonable stay and able to explore New Taipei City from here. Clean rooms
But lacking room amenities as per their new policy. Good for a short stay, near the MRT. "
"The owner is very kind and helpful and has a lot of recommendations for the area. The rooms are VERY spacious and the washrooms are clean. There’s a little kitchenette you can use and a fridge. Theres tons of restaurants, stores and markets nearby. Walking distance from the MRT which is perfect. One of the most welcoming hostels I’ve been in a while."

"The service was top notch. All the citizens employees spoke English very well. The room was clean with a nice view of the river. Ximending was a 5 min walk. MRT is a 3-4 minute walk either way. I found most of the meals better than the street food. Taipei City under ground Mall is about a 5 minute walk connected to the MRT main station. I found the food there better than the night market. Breakfast at Citizen M had a variety of western and Asian dishes. I highly recommend this hotel, but I do have some cons about it. If you stay in the higher floors, there’s some random noise that kinda sound like a dog barking every 15-20 mins and it sounds like a person placing a cup down on a counter. The elevator system are not sinked so everyone presses all of the button so when your on the elevator it stops frequently. Other than that it’s an awesome place to stay. "
"We had a superb experience staying at The Grand Hotel in Taipei. Among hotels of similar level, this one stands out for its thoughtful service and attention to detail.
The staff were consistently warm and helpful — from the front desk and concierge to the transportation team, restaurant servers, cleaning staff, and luggage attendants. Everyone made us feel welcome and well taken care of.
What impressed us most was how comprehensive the services were. The hotel helped us arrange taxis, airport shuttles, and even a private driver for a day trip outside of Taipei, which was the highlight of our stay. They also offer on-site currency exchange, which was very convenient.
The hotel itself is true to its name — grand in design, well-maintained, and very clean. There's a real sense of history and elegance throughout the property.
For the level of comfort and service provided, we felt the price was more than fair. It was excellent value for the experience we had.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-run place to stay in Taipei.

"We stayed here 5 nights and truly appreciated the value of this hotel. Big room, comfy beds, fast wifi, smart TV, big bathroom, free simple breakfast, personable front desk crew, 7-11 and family mart closeby, bakery almost next door, many local places to eat close by, fast uber delivery for Mcdonalds, and close to Metro station.
We were a party of 2 and the room was huge for the two of us. We recommend this place"
