I was visiting friends around the area and it’s next to the high speed train station, walkable distance for shopping and restaurants. They even provided night snack from 9:30-10:30pm! Will stay again if come back.

Super friendly and accommodating staff. Free night snack usually warm soup. Conveniently next to mall and High Speed Rail, beautiful view from full glass window wall. Staff very responsive above and beyond. I am coming back..!!

Stayed here for 3nights. Hotel is on the outskirts of HsinChu but only 100meters from both highspeed rail (30min to downtown Taipei for $20 - train every 30min) and local train (3 stops) to HsinChu. Hotel has a small shopping mall and 3-4blocks around hotel have endless Chinese food options and several small cute cafes. Hotel super clean and friendly, rooms are great and both breakfast and supper snacks are great. Overall highly recommend and best value for $$ (I paid ~$100/night)

Excellent, but…
Location is excellent. Front counter staff are very helpful. Help with luggage is limited and very slow, which is a big problem for international travel who tend to multiple pieces of luggage. The house cleaning team always missed a thing or two for the duration of my stay for 6 nights. This would have been an excellent stay if minor details are taken care of.

Very close to HSR Station
It's very close to the Hsinchu HSR Station and the hotel should really take advantage of this great advantage in informing their incoming guests about it. Otherwise they would walk out of the wrong gate and turn a 5-min walk into a taxi ride around the block like myself. It did NOT give an impression commensurate with everything else about the hotel.

We stayed in the suite with kitchenette. We have stayed at the AJ before and loved it but this time was not quite as good. The bathroom had a urine smell and the breakfast was prearranged box style for pandemic considerations. It was not really good. It was the type of food you eat only because you’re starving. You can’t beat this hotel for convenience to the HSR station which further connects to TRA. There is a mall with Poya in the basement of the hotel building. The mall is fairly empty though, so I’d recommend a trip to Big City mall instead; also in Hsinchu.

Not so good experience. 1st of all- the counter gave us the handicap-free room without confirming with us. 2nd of all, I booked a king size bed but got a bed which was composed by two beds. Last but not least, I asked for more bottle water but the counter told me only first two bottles were free. I can’t believe a 4000-ish dollar room needs me to pay the bottle water.

Good hotel near HSR with some caveats
Location wise, it cannot be beat. However, I traveled by car and found a lot of parking down in B3. Finding the elevator to the hotel lobby itself was difficult as there is only 1 small, small sign indicating which elevator to take to the lobby. Get to hotel and as a hotels.com gold member, it said I am entitled to 310 NTD of food. I was given a food coupon by the front desk for this, which only allows you to get tangyuan, which is glutinous rice balls in soup. Nothing else you can order. Everybody knows that this tangyuan is only worth $150 NTD tops, so I got ripped off. And if you don't want desert (which this is) then you are out of luck. Got a room on the 16th floor and the hallway around it and the elevator, despite being a new hotel, shows that the carpet had lines and rips in many places. Room was ok but bed was too soft. Checked out and tried to find the parking token machine on B3, which was also very difficult. It is not near the same elevator to take to the hotel lobby. It is in an entirely different place with again, no signage or a little sign. Took me 10 mins walking and driving around B3 to find it. Only 1 machine in the entire basement also.

Great value, modern, highly recommend!
This is a nice, western style hotel conveniently located right across from the HSR/TRA station. Spacious rooms, clean and very new. High end soap and shampoo provided. Breakfast was good with Asian and western food offered. There is a mall located on the lower floors of the hotel but currently it is a little sparse, likely due to the pandemic and lack of traveling customers.
Bathrobes, slippers, and umbrella provided!

Surprisingly elegant
This is a nice full-service hotel that you can walk to from the HSR / TRA stations or Hsinchu Biomedical Science Park. Don't let it discourage you that the hotel is on the 14th floor of a shopping mall / office building, it's not those kind of weird one floor hotels you find elsewhere. It's a well designed elegant hotel space consisting of five floors with an atrium. They have a restaurant, bar, business center and work-out room on the lobby floor. The room was huge for Taiwan with a good sized desk and the view was great too.
