The daytime lady at the desk was amazing a sweet. Only complaint was trying to check in was beyond hard as we didnt get our email with instructions so we almost showed up too late without a place to stay. The gentlemen at the night were not the most helpful in finding our room that was not at the same location.

The Breakfast was good and the service great. Pleasant young people at the reception and restaurant. Our room was on a main crossing, but it was quiet. Lovely small town feel to the place. Super convenient for sightseeing. Safe and free parking was available.

Be aware of their room located in "Annex building"
When we got to the "annex building", we were not less than shocked by the difference between the boutique hotel and this annex building which has nothing to do with Hotel statement, but more than a building of rooms. In addition, the room has a glass door directly to the street (used to be an office I believe in the past) where my wife and two kids were afraid all night. If this kind of building was pictured and presented on hotels.com website (which is not, for a good reason) as the "Annex building" no way I would reserve it, definitely not for 183 euro, as I was willing to pay this amount to stay in the unique hotel above the river. When you order a room you also pay for the location and uniqueness of a hotel as should be with a "Boutique" one. When we reached the hotel reception and claimed the building, the answer was that the hotel is fully booked and there is nothing they can do about it. I personally think that this is not something I can refer as a fair business and standing behind a statement that it was stated in the reservation itself... Also,hotels.com did not take responsibility for this misleading (as it appears in their website) and was rejected any request for compensation for the fact that the hotel is not willing to do so. Not less than a bad joke. Stay away !!

Thank you for your stay and feedback. You have booked a room in our annex building and yet you complain that you got a room there? The rooms are in the exact same style as the other building. We kindly advise you to check what you book before you make the actual booking to avoid these kind of experiences. We would have transferred you to the other building but as you already said yourself, we were fully booked. Not fair that you blame us for this.

Extremely clean & comfortable
I stayed for 5 nights for work. The room was spotlessly clean and a very comfortable bed. There were a few very minor issues: the coffee machine in my room didn’t work. There was no shower gel provided in the bathroom ( only shampoo ), there is no light in the wardrobe and it was very dark so made it very difficult to see clothes when getting ready very early in the morning. A all fridge in the room would have been appreciated as it was very huge when I stayed so any cold drinks or food went warm very quickly when left out on the side. Some of the restaurant staff were quite abrupt & service was quite slow. I asked for some parmasam cheese for my pasta and it arrived 15 minutes after my pasta had. There also isn’t anywhere you can sit and eat your own food. I understand that the hotel has its own restaurant but one evening I wanted to eat a quick salad I’d bought from a supermarket (I’d eaten in the resultant 3 nights already) and was asked to leave the premises or eat in my room. It seems a shame that there isn’t a small outside space that guests can enjoy without having to purchase something, especially when it was very hot when I stayed and my room was on the ground floor next to the bike store so I had to keep the curtains closed during day time. These are all small niggles though!

This property was very convenient for seeing the sites, & areas. Our room was on street level, & it was very noisy. There was also a lot of noise from other guests coming in and out of the building, as that room is right by the street entrance. The room was also very dark. Painted a very dark colour, & because the windows and sliding glass door were on street level, we were not comfortable having the curtains open. For the size of the room, we felt it would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room. Proximity to the sites really was great. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly.

Lovely little hotel
Beautiful town, wonderful view, the lift wasn't working, but they helped us up steep stairs with our luggage. They gave us ice at the bar whenever we asked. The breakfast was good, sausage, bacon, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, granola, breads, danishes, the most delicious chocolate spread. I liked this area far more than Amsterdam.

Ok stay..
Few issues, young Spanish waitress extremely rude telling the guests everything was ‘impossible’ you never say that to a guest?! Room was not clean on check in, room key stopped working and the ‘annexe building’ is down the Main Street on the opposite side of the road? So if any issues can’t just pop down to reception after a long day of siteseeing. Staff all helpful other than Spanish waitress, she’s not pleasant at all. Really nice location to get the train into Amsterdam.

Pretty much all the lights in my room didn’t work - overhead lights didn’t work, bathroom mirror light didn’t work, and the one standing lamp had a flimsy bulb barely hanging on by a wire. The staff were great and Veer did her best to assist, but overall the cost of this room was way too much for the quality of the room. I was given a complimentary apology glass of Prosecco, but next time I’d definitely ask for a partial refund. Location was excellent.

We really enjoyed our river view room here. Most the staff were lovely too and we had a nice welcome on arrival and lots of help when we arrived back late and needed to find somewhere to eat. The room was clean and the bed was comfy! The only issue was that the shower was cold for us one morning but we let the staff know and they were keen to look into this. We would happily return here one day, the location is great for accessing local cycling, traditional streets and of course windmills!!

Prima hotel
Prima hotel met de Zaanse Schans op loopafstand. Treinstation om naar Amsterdam te gaan ook op loopafstand. Inchecken gaat online en ook de sleutels van de deuren krijg je online. Ontbijt kun je afhalen bij de tegenovergelegen SPAR. Kan zijn dat dit tijdelijk is doordat het restaurant tijdelijk gesloten is. Ontbijt was verder prima. Gratis parkeren kan ook achter de SPAR. Kamers zijn prima en netjes

Wat fijn dat u bij ons was en het goed bevallen is. In de wintermaanden is ons restaurant inderdaad gesloten maar vanaf eind maart kunt u weer gebruiken van ons restaurant.

Frühstück ist "ungewöhnlich". Man holt seinen Frühstücksbeutel im benachbarten SPAR Markt. Leider nimmt man bei diesem "Service" keine Rücksicht auf die Umwelt :-(

A FUIR ! Terasse fermé où l’on ne peut pas admirer le fleuve qui fait soit disant partie de l’hôtel. Pas de chauffage dans la salle de bain où il fait très froid, un minuscule miroir sur le mur. Les chambres sont insonorisés, on entend tous ce qu’il se passe partout. La réceptionniste est hautaine, désagréable. Le seul bon point le lit est confortable et ça s’arrête là.

Lo unico malo fue que el check in era a las 15h y hasta las 16:30h no entramos porque no habian limpiado la habitación (tuvieron un problema según dijeron), por lo demas todo genial, tiene buena ubicación, esta cerca del centro (unos 20min), los trabajadores super majos (sobre todo los que hablaban español), el desayuno muy rico y variado, y las instalaciones eran super bonitas y se notaba que estaban cuidadas, todo genial la verdad

Una buona scelta per sfuggire dal caos de Amsterdam. Luogo tranquillo, camera con vista sul canale, i mulini a vento e il pittoresco villaggio verde. Il balcone: perfetto per godere delle brillanti atmosfere mattutine e dei fascinanti riflessi notturni.

Fijn dat u bij ons was en het goed bevallen.We hebben geen eigen parkeergelegenheid, maar parkeren is gratis bij ons in de buurt, onder andere op het plein achter de supermarkt tegenover ons hotel.

Prima voor 1 nacht
Prima verblijf. Het betreft 2 locaties, het hoofdgebouw aan het water met restaurant en een bijgebouw op ongeveer 200 meter van het hoofdgebouw. Wij zaten in het laatste. Nette kamer, wel 1 kapotte stoel, fijne douche en heerlijke bedden. Wel erg gehorig. Ontbijt was prima met erg goeds koffie! Vind prijs-kwaliteit, niet helemaal in verhouding, maar dat komt door de liching. Op loopafstand van de zaanse schans(enkel de brug over) tip! Ga naar brouwerij 'hoop', heerlijk eten en heerlijke biertjes. Kleine 10 minuutjes lopen.

Die Lage vom Hotel ist sehr schön. Zimmer waren modern, sauber und es war genug Platz. Personal war sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Frühstücksangebot ist ausreichend, doch da muss nachgebessert werden. Kaffee bekommt man Tassenweise gebracht und je nach Auslastung dauert es schon etwas. Marmelade war am 2. Tag alle und dann gab es keine mehr. Butter fehlte auch öfters. Rührei musste bestellt werden, dauerte dann eine weile. Einen Morgen kamen wir um 8.00 Uhr , da gab es außer Toast nichts. Das Personal war immer freundlich und bemüht, doch überfordert. Restaurant ist meines Erachtens überteuert. Haben 1 mal dort gegessen, leider.

Ich hab ' einen Haken für Jacken vermißt. Wenn es regnet hat, wollte ich sie nicht naß in den Schrank hängen. Ungewöhnlich das Rezeption mit in einem Restaurant ist, aber war alles okay. Alles in Englisch, müßte meine Kenntnisse mal auffrischen, aber es hat alles geklappt.

Una bella sorpresa!
Scelto per la posizione e costo leggermente inferiore alla media, si è subito rivelato una bella sorpresa. Situato in una zona molto bella e strategica, fuori dal caos cittadino di amsterdam. Camera spaziosa e pulita, colazione con una discreta scelta (frutta, affettati, yogurt,uova, dolci..). Staff cortese e super disponibile.

Hôtel très moyen
Logement hors hôtel en annexe, vue sur une rue. Nous pensions avoir vue sur le fleuve. Restaurant très basique, qualité zéro... Seule satisfaction, près des moulins et de la gare pour aller à Amsterdam en 20 minutes (16 € aller retour pour 2) Une bouilloire dans la chambre mais rien d'autre, pas de café, pas de thé...
