"We arrived very late, staff were very nice and contacted us in advance to let us know how to get in and what to do. Breakfast was very tasty and staff very hospitable and kind."
"A very quiet peaceful break away food was very good the staff were friendly and welcoming. Located right on the lake so views were amazing lovely clean room would highly recommend a visit."
"Great base, quiet, homely, close to shops and amazing view. The property was just the riht size for the three of us.
Easy parking for small to moderate car."
"We had som issues with a front door that couldn’t open or -once opened- was very diffiicult to lock. We found the communication with the company very difficult and it took five days (out of a seven days stay) to get it sorted. Afterwards we were told there was nothing wrong with the door??"
"The stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere.
The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped but he had to buy paper kitchen towels, bin bags and dishwasher tablets.
All in all, our stay was great. We would stay here again. "

10/10 Excellent
"Lovely hotel in a great location. Views over Windermere are amazing. The car park can be a tight squeeze for larger cars. The premises features a very large pub on the ground floor, which is used for a great breakfast for guests. Reception desk for hotel guests is in the bar. The bedroom was very well appointed, clean and spacious. The only issue that I had was that the staff were a little inattentive... Unnecessary waits to be served, tables in restaurant/bar area were not cleared quickly, not much in the way of a warm, friendly welcome."
"Service was absolutely brilliant from all of the team and all webt above a d beyond to make our stay such a great experience. Cleanliness was spot on and the rooms are so spacious and decorated to such a high standard too. Breakfast was excellent and lots of choice too..well worth booking again thankyou to all staff 😀 "
