"Enjoyed the mornings on the porch listening to the close by creek and chickadees singing, hiked every day, used the grill on the side of the house, walked around the neighborhood in admiration. We brought our dog (golden retriever) and he was so happy there as well. Close to town but also not TOO close. Loved this cabin!! Would stay again."

"Lovely area, Mountain View’s and tall trees… cozy comfortable cottage- homey! Great restaurant- Ferros with wonderful jazz! Tuesday nights! Many restaurants closed early March- trips to desert an hour or so away- beautiful drive down the mountain! Peaceful, serene and friendly people! All in all we enjoyed it and will return- Wi-Fi good as I worked a few days. Kathy and Gary"

"This long weekend getaway was originally for myself, my husband, and our wee little pup. It was our puppy’s first birthday and our wedding anniversary. Sadly, the weekend before we had to send our cat to the other side and so our adult child flew in to say goodbye and grieve with us. We alerted Jay and Darlene of our last minute extra guest which they were kind enough to allow along. This cabin is a dream! I feel we are so lucky to have found it. Plenty of quiet and space for the 3 of us adults...

"We went up for the weekend for some relaxation. The sound of the creek was "heaven" and only a short walk to town for eats. The deck overlooking the creek was spacious and we will definitely be back."

"We had a wonderful time. We spent 2 nights with our neighbors and they loved it too. We have a 16 month old who just loved the kids room with all the toys and books. The big kitchen made cooking easy and there is nice dining table that we used to eat and play games. It is about 4 miles from the town of Idyllwild and not a bad drive. There was a nice back deck with grill and also a backyard, which we didn't get to use because unfortunately it was raining. But the four of us are already talking...

"The cabin is great for a couple and a pet. The cabin is filled with mountain decor and has both a wood-burning stove and an air conditioning unit to make you comfortable any time of the year. It is close to town and not far Idyllwild Regional Park and a small dog park to allow your dog to get out even more."

"We had a wonderful time at Elk Horn Retreat. We stayed 5 nights and loved every minute of it. The cabin is beautifully decorated, well furnished, and extremely comfortable. The location is very private and an easy drive to town. Highly recommend this cabin for a stay in Idyllwild."

"Upon walking in, this cabin is as cozy as it gets! Wood burning fireplace, beautiful mountain decor, very clean, and has all the necessities for a pleasant stay. I especially enjoyed the complimentary eco friendly toiletries. Super close to town and convenient for dog owners!"

"Our short stay at this Idyllwild home was exceptional. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, and the sitting area perfect for relaxing evenings. The front porch offered spectacular views, and the patio furniture was cozy. The house was spotlessly clean and conveniently close to town amenities. Hiking trails were easily accessible, with the Ernie Maxwell trail being a highlight. Highly recommended for a serene wilderness getaway with all the comforts of home."

"This was one of the most beautiful rentals we’ve ever stayed in, perfect for our family of 5. The living room with ceiling high windows made it feel like a tree house and our daughter loved the separate levels with the heated floors. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. The little loft upstairs was perfect for remote work and had a selection of very interesting books. The shower upstairs with the double heads was wonderful and we loved that all the windows opened to...

"Loved the location. Needs some love on the carpet. Kitchen is not stocked, barely enough flatware for 5. No sauce pans. The kitchen its self has been remodeled. Outside is wonderful."

"I took a trip with 9 of my girlfriends and we were absolutely spoiled by this VRBO! The hosts were accommodating, quick communicators, provided the little details (toothpaste, little soaps, lots of pool towels, etc) and went above and beyond for us. After a quick text to the host, the hot tub was on and ready for us! 10/10 experience, would recommend!!"

"This was a very nice property in the staff were excellent. The pools and Jacuzzi very very nice. The pool was perfect temperature wise. Did you could walk right in with no issues at all with the cold very unheard of at hotels. The tiny house or cottage was very nice. Just big enough two. I would definitely go back again. "
