"There was a window air conditioner in the bedroom because the room air conditioner clearly wasn't working. This was not disclosed to us when we were given the keys to the room. Fortunately we spent very little time in the room, however the window air conditioner did not cool the room efficiently enough because when we left at check out the room was 80 degrees. The entire hotel is due for a facelift. It's looking rather run down and is showing it's age. We stayed here because it looked to have a nice pool in comparison to other area hotels, but in hindsight, I feel like we would have had a nicer stay elsewhere at a newer hotel for comparable price."

"I have stayed at the Welk before, & enjoyed myself...But this trip, there were a couple of incidents that made it less than perfect. A member of my party wanted to use the grill located about 20 feet away from my villa. I had called 3 times(twice 1 day & once the next)to the Maintenance department for that grill to be cleaned. It was never cleaned!! But a Welk rep did come out to take a picture, why? I have no clue. On one of the times I'd called, the rep said there was a miscommunication because there was a report that someone was using the grill. This caused my party to completely change our dinner menu! Perhaps with the Summer season fast approaching, it will be wise to have a system in place that creates a ticket for each request, then make sure to follow up with the guest!! Don't make assumptions!!! Also, the sliding Screen door from the living room onto the balcony should be checked/ oiled. The screen was EXTREMELY difficult to open and close! Again...these two hiccups made our trip less than what I came to expect from the Welk."

"The front desk helped me access a power outlet for my cpap machine with just a request. It was ready when we returned to the hotel. Room is beautiful with an amazing view of the vineyards and Temecula valley. The refrigerator really cooled our bottles. Breakfast, included, was very good. The only issue we had was that the shower drain was a bit slow and the water backed up to an inch or so. Also, it would be awesome if they installed an EV charger before our next visit."

"Took my mom for a quiet Mother’s Day get away. It was perfect, she enjoyed it. Beautiful view."
