"This is an ancient, historic hotel. Be mindful of the fact that you are staying here more for the character and historical significance then for the comfort. Stairways are small and steep and parking - went available at all - is challenging. That said, however, the staff is very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our one night stay."

Really peaceful Only niggle was communication with 1066 company. They wouldn’t answer phone and were very slow to reply. But the owner was great as I had to resort to going straight to her. Even an hour before arrival 1066 still hadn’t contacted me about checking in and key codeAnd oddly a few days after leaving I got loads of emails from them with the info I needed the week before! All very strange "
