"Check in was easy and location was good, thise are the only positives. The property is extremely dated and dirty. The furnishings in communal areas were torn, threadbare, stained, dirty and smelly. "The stables was in an ideal location for exploring East Sussex and Kent with lots of nearby attractions. The White Hart inn next door is a family owned village pub with lots of character, good beer and food. The accommodation was ideal for a couple. The open kitchen /longe was very well equipped with the added bonus of French windows onto a small patio area with outside seating. Very difficult to find any faults as is highly recommended we would certainly stay here again."

"Hotel looks very dated, room looked slightly better, but still in need of repairs. Nobody at reception to do check in, they send a message asking to provide ID copy through WhatsApp and then give you access codes to hotel and room. Hot and cold water hit and miss, took verylong time for hot water to run in the sink, shower opposite became hot water only very quickly, no cold water. Ok for one night stay, but wouldn't return."

"We upgraded from a cosy room to a superior room. The room itself was lovely, though quite small and the bathroom had a roll top bath. The room was extremely clean and the decor was lovely. However, I would say that there was little space to put any of our things, little surface space in the bedroom and the bathroom. Our room was on the top floor; we were asked before arrival whether we had an problem with stairs, and there were quite a few levels to go up so be aware of this. I do have one gripe! There was a constant humming noise in our room, I expect coming from the extractor fan that was outside the bedroom window. We did put up with it but for anyone who likes silence, it would have drove you round the twist. There was a small radio on in our room when we arrived; so wondering if that was to disguise it. I assume this humming noise would have been heard in the rooms either side of us as well. We were in Room 20. Again, lovely room, was let down by the noise."
