The local area is renowned for its wildlife. Puffins, arctic skuas, merlin and many other bird species can be seen. Otters, seals, dolphins and whales have all been seen along this coastline. The fairy tale Castle of Mey, beautifully restored by the late Queen Mother is a must, as is a day trip to the Orkney Isles. Beach 100 yards. Shop 8 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
